Two weeks into March Madness and bookmakers are still not cutting upstart George Mason any slack.

Despite knocking off the top-ranked team in the country, the No. 11 Patriots opened as 6-point underdogs to Florida in the Bodog.com Sportsbook. George Mason, which upset Connecticut to clinch a Final Four berth last weekend, is seeking to become the lowest-seeded team to secure a national championship and a place in March Madness lore. The Patriots also helped ensure that this year's Final Four will be the first in 26 years to not feature a No. 1 seed.

"With no top-seeded team competing in the Final Four, this year's championship is a total crapshoot," says Calvin Ayre, Founder and CEO of Bodog.com. "Betting action is running the gamut, and with the teams set to hit the court Saturday, we are anticipating one of the busiest wagering weekends of the year."

So far, George Mason's Cinderella run has been the talk of the NCAA Tournament. After their 86-84 overtime victory over the Huskies in the Washington, D.C. Region on Sunday, the Patriots became the lowest-seeded team to reach the Final Four since LSU did it as an 11 seed in 1986.

Memories of those Tigers were evoked in Atlanta, where the current LSU team ousted powerhouses in No. 1 Duke and No. 2 Texas to earn the school's first Final Four berth since that heralded run 20 years ago. Meanwhile, No. 2 UCLA and No. 3 Florida have put to rest any criticism that they were undeserving of their seeds by eliminating No. 3 Gonzaga and No. 1 Villanova, respectively.

LSU and UCLA will face off in Saturday's first national semifinal. The Tigers opened as 2.5-point favorites over the Bruins, who are aiming to bring home a 12th championship to Pauley Pavilion. The Gators and Patriots will tip off in Saturday's late game. The wínners of the semifinal games meet Monday in the national championship game at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis.
